Bakewell clothing store ram-raided
At about 2.30am today (Monday) thieves used a van – thought to be a Ford Transit – to smash the doors open at Brocklehursts clothing store in Bridge Street, Bakewell.
Once inside, crooks stole all coats from two racks – valued at “several thousands of pounds,” a police spokesperson confirmed.

Hide AdOne eye witness said there were three men involved in the burglary. One driver – who remained in the van – and two accomplices who went into the shop.
The van sped off in the direction of Rutland Square after the incident.
