A Derbyshire pub has been named as the best pub in the UK in which to have a post-walk pint by outdoor retailer, Mountain Warehouse.
The Holly Bush Inn in Makeney beat off competition from pubs in the Lake District, the Scottish Highlands, the Malvern Hills and Lancashire to take top spot in the online poll.
The former farmhouse and brewery was built in the 17th Century and has long been a favourite of locals and visitors alike.
Mark Neale, founder of Mountain Warehouse, said of the list: “The UK boasts an excellent variety when it comes to post-walk pint locations, from centuries old spots to lively locals.
“Our campaign aimed to unearth lesser known spots, cherished by walkers across the country for their excellent locations, setting and offering.
“The Boxing Day walk is a much-loved annual tradition and what better way to end a walk than with a visit to one of these outstanding pubs.”
The Holly Bush Inn, a Grade II-listed property, is a favourite spot for keen hikers due to its prime location on the Dick Turpin route, located on the Heritage Way.
Home to one of only eight curved rooms remaining in UK pubs, the Holly Bush Inn makes for the perfect place for a post-walk pint of real ale.
