Belper nursery is targeted by thieves

Thieves broke into a Belper nursery before rifling through belongings and stealing a camera.

The raid took place some time between 9pm on Tuesday, September 10 and 8.15am the next day - when staff at Belper Central Methodist Church on Chapel Street arrived to find a back window had been smashed.

Police found the end of a hammer and screwdriver at scene, which are thought to have been used during the burglary.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious or who has any information about the crime is urged to contact police on 101.
