Members of the Belper Stroke Club enjoyed a day out at the National Memorial Arboretum. After travelling to the arboretum by two mini buses, the members enjoyed a two-course meal in the restaurant before taking the hour-long trip around the site on the land train. See above.

The members really enjoyed what was for some an emotional and tiring visit.

The whole club would ike to thank the staff and volunteers at the arboretum who went out of their way to make the visit a success.

Belper Stroke Club, for people who have survived a stroke or their carers, meets every other Tuesday at Belper Leisure Centre for a social get together, with entertainers, quizzes and bingo regularly on the agenda.

However, four or five times per year the group has an outing to various locations around the East Midlands as well as a festive Christmas meal at a local restaurant.

Anyone requiring further details of the club or its activities is asked to contact the club chairman, Dave Ashley, on 07738 552178 or on
