Firms are being urged to sign up for a black tie quiz to raise thousands of pounds for a cancer charity.

The Derbyshire Brain Game, an annual quiz in aid of the county’s Marie Curie Cancer Care nursing service, is being held at Derby College’s Roundhouse on Thursday, October 16.

Organised by a committee of volunteers consisting of staff from Heage-based Bowmer and Kirkland, Derby College, Toyota, and Flint Bishop, together with Lord Lieutenant Willie Tucker and former High Sheriff Alan Woods the event has raised more than £55,000 during the past two years.

Corporate teams are being encouraged to enter this year’s event, which includes a three-course dinner and quiz hosted by former South Derbyshire MP Edwina Currie.
