A council project to deliver Derbyshire’s biggest ever broadband transformation will be the subject of an Amber Valley Business Club meeting.

Derbyshire County Council has signed a contract with BT to make fibre broadband available to a further 88,000 premises across the county, bringing access to more than 95 per cent of homes and businesses by 2016.

The ‘Digital Derbyshire’ scheme will be the focus of a networking event led by James Collumbine from the authority at The Village Inn, Marehay on Wednesday, October 8 from 12pm - 2pm.

The event is free to members of the club or £14.40 for non-members.
