A pub in Holbrook is raising a glass to its own success after beating more than one hundred operators to make British Roast Dinner Week’s list of the best roasts in Britain.
The Spotted Cow, headed up by Fiona Gilchrist, was rated in the top five pubs in the UK in the competition run by Unilever Food Solutions.
Ms Gilchrist said: “The roast dinners served in the Spotted Cow are really popular with our customers, with Sunday lunches being a really busy time for us.”
Chefs and caterers from across the country were asked to submit their details about their roast dinners.
Sarah Branagan, Knorr category manager for sauces, said: “For a restaurant to serve one of the top five roast dinners in the country is a fantastic achievement.”
