Chance to meet the police and raise any concerns

eight Safer Neighbourhood policing team surgeries and meetings have been set up for residents in the Belper area for the first half of this month.

Today, between 3pm and 3.45pm, the Heage and Ambergate team is holding a police surgery outside Heage Primary School.

On Wednesday, February 9, the Duffield team is having a police surgery at Hazelwood Village Hall between 12.30pm and 1.30pm.

The following day, Thursday, February 10, Kilburn’s team will be at The Institute (bowling green) on Derby Road, Denby, from 7pm until 8pm.

At about the same time, the Heage and Ambergate team’s mobile police office will be on Park Road, Heage, between 6.30pm and 7.30pm, and then on Moorlands Road, Ambergate between 7.45pm and 8.45pm.

On Wednesday, February 16, the Belper Town team is hosting a neighbourhood panel meeting at Belper Town Football Club between 7pm and 9pm.

Earlier the same day, the Quarndon and Kirk Langley team is holding a police surgery at Muggington village hall from 10.30am until 11.30am.

On Thursday, February 17, between 6pm and 7pm, the Belper Town team host a police surgery at the Whitemoor Centre on John O’Gaunts Way, Belper.

Panel meetings allow people to discuss issues or problems in their area, while surgeries are drop-in sessions allowing residents to meet their local officers and raise any concerns.
