Charity bash rocks

A RIP-roaring musical event in Belper raised £455 for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The Queen’s Head was packed to the rafters on Friday as four acts, including two from the town, entertained revellers.

Hosted by Belper-based company Deafbox Promotions, it was an event that also saw the release of local band Riptide’s new EP.

Shaun Bunting, of Deafbox, said: “I’d like to thank everyone that came out to support a worthwhile cause and for being so generous with their donations.

“I would also like to thank all the bands for giving up their time and helping the cause. Also, a big thank you to Soundhub, who operated the sound ensuring everything went smoothly.”
