THE temperature is set to rise in Belper next week thanks to a production of Copacabana.
Belper Musical Theatre is behind the production of a musical tale of old-fashioned love, jealousy and murder that takes the audience from New York to Havana.
It is being performed in the new £750,000 theatre at Belper School — the first time the group will have taken to the stage there.
The Copacabana story follows aspiring songwriter Stephen as he composes what he hopes will become a hit musical.
It is being performed from Tuesday, February 14 until Saturday, February 18, with a matinee performance on the Saturday.
Tickets are £11 and £9 for concessions and are available from Andrea Sparham on 01332 882909. Opening night is already sold out.
