Allestree Hall could be sold as early as next Summer as owners Derby City Council look to create cash from the authority’s property portfolio. The historic landmark is one of 58 properties listed for disposal by the council in a bid to save £5 million in sales receipts and nearly £3 million a year on maintenance. The 18th century hall was donated to the parish and villages by the last of its wealthy owners in 1864.
