Crafter who likes to be beside the seaside!

A WOMAN who always dreamed of running craft classes by the seaside with her husband serving coffee to students is one step closer to her wish.

Janet Buckle runs Memory Makers – a series of evening classes at Belper School.

She started her craft sessions at the Belper Cottage Project before moving her workshops to the school. The classes have been fully subscribed with 17 students for the past four years.

Now she will run sessions, called Coffee ‘n’ Crafts, on the third Saturday of each month at Fresh Ground, King Street. They start on August 20 and run between 10am and 5pm.

Janet said: “I always dreamed of running classes by the seaside with hubby serving coffee and cakes to my busy band of crafters. Well it’s coming true, but here in sunny Belper!”

Crafters can work on their projects in the upstairs room while being waited on. All sessions are themed, with the first called American Homespun Chic.
