Ambergate patrols to cut bike crashes

A five-month campaign aimed at cutting motorcyle deaths saw police step-up patrols on the A6 at Ambergate over the Easter break.

Operation Focus will run until September and involves roads where collisions are most common as well as events to engage with the biking community. In 2012, there were 117 motorcyclists killed or seriously injured in Derbyshire, compared to 141 the previous year.
