Appeal after young boy allegedly bitten by dog in Derbyshire village
Police are appealing for witnesses after a three-year-old boy was allegedly bitten by a dog in Derbyshire.
The youngster was reportedly walking with walking with his grandparents along a footpath off Miller’s Way, in Milford, at around 10.30am on Wednesday, February 10, when they saw a man walking with three or four collie-type dogs off the lead.
It is claimed that one of the dogs ran over and bit the child on his leg, however he was wearing wellies at the time and was not injured.
It is also believed that the dog owner was verbally abusive and aggressive toward the grandparents.
Derbyshire Constabulary are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident.
They said a 24-year-old Ripley man has been traced and interviewed on a voluntary basis.
