Police descended on a Chesterfield petrol station and allowed an Audi driver to fill up and pay the bill before seizing his car- for fuel theft offences.

Derbyshire Roads Police confronted the driver in Brimington on Thursday (May 7).

They tweeted: “Audi TT with a marker on it as involved in theft of fuel. Paid today's bill but hasn't got a licence or insurance.”

The Audi was seized and the driver issued a ticket. A passenger was also issued with a Covid-19 breach ticket.
