Officers found around 40 youngsters congregating in a farmer’s field off High Lane, West Hallam in Ilkeston on Saturday, March 27.
A girl and a boy who were carrying black bags filled with orange juice, vodka and cans of lager dropped their stash in ‘sheer panic’ according to Ilkeston Safer Neighbourhood Team after they say the teenagers spotted them with the large group.

The confiscated alcohol has been poured ‘down the drain’ according to officers, while the recovered black Lacoste tote bag and black KWD rucksack has been stored in Ilkeston Police Station and can be collected by an adult.
In a post on Facebook, Ilkeston Police Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “Did your daugher go out with a black Lacoste bag and a black coat tonight?
"Along with a bottle of orange juice and a bottle of vodka?
"But did not return with them?
“Did your son leave with a black KWD bag containing cans of lager?
"And return with neither in sight?

“Can I remind all parents and teenagers that we are still in a national pandemic with laws in place.
"This means if your child is caught in a large group, they will not receive £200 but you will receive a £200 covid fine.
“This property will be booked into the property stores and can be collected by an adult from Ilkeston police Station.

One social media user commented: “Teenagers have been doing this for years i mean I bet some of these police officers did the exact same thing.
"But I agree 40 is far to many especially with Covid.
