Cromford artist opens gallery

A Cromford artist has opened a working studio and gallery in an historic bakehouse.

Martin Sloman, watercolour artist and tutor, has launched the new venture at Cromford Market Place.

Mr Sloman said: “The building has lots of character and lends itself well to showing art.

“A wide range of original artwork is available by such artists as Gareth Buxton, Ruth Gray, John Connolly, Peter Wigley and many more.

“I also stock limited edition prints, along with a fantastic selection of cards by various artists.

“Ceramics and pottery are on display by Sue Gorman, Josie Walters and John Wheeldon, plus a beautiful collection of hand crafted silver jewellery by Louise West and Janice Allen.”

Watercolour Tuition is available at the studio for small groups or on a one to one basis.

Opening hours are from 10am-5pm Wednesday to Sunday.
