A solicitors in Belper is offering cut-price wills as part of a fundraising bid for a children’s hospice.

Ellis-Fermor & Negus is advertising a saving of more than 50 percent when making a will to encourage people to leave a lasting legacy to children and young people with terminal illnesses.

The firm hopes that by offering the service for £45 during May people will make a donation to support Rainbows Children’s Hospice in Loughborough.

Leaving a gift of £25 could pay for a music therapy session, , while a donation of £100 could help fund one day’s bereavement support for a family.

Patricia Brookes, director of fundraising at Rainbows, said: “All of the legacies we receive add up, no matter how small, and without your support, we simply wouldn’t be able to open our doors.”

Ellis Fermor Negus opens its new offices on Chapel Street on April 28. Its previous base was on Bridge Street.
