A REPLICA of the stunning wedding dress wore by royal bride Kate Middleton is the centre-piece of a display at a Belper florist.
Floraline, which is on Gregory’s Way, has the dress as part of a wedding-themed window display, which is also decked out in bouquets and other wedding-related items.
Beverley Kennedy, who owns the shop, said: “I thought we would do it because of the royal wedding and because it is the start of the wedding season.
“I am very excited about having the dress in the window.
“I watched the royal wedding and I thought the dress was absolutely stunning. It was just right for her, very elegant and not too over the top.”
The replica dress has been designed and made by Beverley’s friend, Kay Hobson. She is a professional dressmaker who makes bridal gowns and owns Belper firm Kay Hobson Bridal Designs.
Beverley said: “Kay said she really enjoyed making it and that it was lovely to do something like that.”
Beverley added that the dress would be on display in the window “for a while”.
