Horsley Primary School has said goodbye to two popular members of staff after they both retired.
Russell Vallance has been everything from the gardener to the handyman, and painter and decorator at the Church Street school during the course of the last 15 years .
Val Bishton is also retiring. For 12 years she has worked for Derbyshire County Council, but for the past six was cook at Kilburn kitchen and server at Horsley School.
Pupils at the school presented Mrs Bishton with a bouquet of flowers to rectgonise her efforts. Meanwhile, Mr Vallance was given a bottle of Champagne.
They were wished well by all at the school. Pupils attending the school come from across the area, including Ripley, Belper and Oakwood in Derby.
