two 17-year-old volunteers were delighted to attend a reception at Number 10 Downing Street last week.
Oliver Watson, of Little Eaton, and Gabby Copestake, of Turnditch, joined Belper’s MP Pauline Latham at the event to recognise Project Umubano volunteers.
The project saw volunteers travel to Rwanda and Sierra Leone to work in key areas of medicine, sport, law, business and community development.
Oliver and Gabby have just returned from their first visit to Rwanda.
Tory MP Mrs Latham, who has been to Rwanda three times for the project, said: “I am extremely proud of Oliver and Gabby for making the trip to Rwanda, which I know they found incredibly rewarding.”
