Rams players help pupils give racism the boot

Pupils at a school in Smalley have been teaming-up with Derby County footballers as part of an anti-racism campaign.

Children from Richardson Endowed Primary School met up with Rams players Richard Keogh and Theo Robinson for a question and answer session during a Show Racism the Red Card day at Pride Park.

Councillor Barry Lewis, Derbyshire County Council Cabinet Member for Young People, said: “Racism is unacceptable and should not be tolerated in any area of life.

“We hope this opportunity to meet football stars and learn important lessons about the communities we live in will stay with the youngsters and help them in future.”
