Hide AdMatlock’s mayor, Councillor David Barker said: “‘The Matlock Photographer of the Year competition has been gaining popularity over the last three years with local photography clubs as well as individuals seeing its prestige, we want to encourage more young photographers to enter our Under 16 category as well.
“As this year marks the centenary of the outbreak of World War One, Matlock Town Council felt the only appropriate theme was that of ‘remembrance’.”
Entrants are invited to show off their artistic flare under the theme.
The picture should be taken within the Matlock boundary and be submitted to the town council by August 31.
