Get your boots on at walking festival

AN ANNUAL walking festival in Amber Valley is stomping on to the horizon.

A range of 32 free guided walks are on offer throughout the extravaganza and they are open to experienced and inexperienced walkers alike.

Walks range from one mile to eight miles. Last year, the festival attracted more than 900 people over the 16 days.

Festival co-ordinator Marion Farrell said: “This festival is a fantastic way to see more of your local area. Each walk has two leaders and there is plenty of time to chat and admire the views.
