A fire involving three tonnes of hay bales was tackled by Belper fire crews on Thursday.
The alarm was raised at 4.25pm on Kirk’s Lane where a 250 sq metre area of grass land was ablaze. One hose reel jet and hayforks were used.
By 5.35pm the crews were damping down and the hay bales were allowed to burn off. They left the scene at 6.40pm.
