Heage Windmill hit the airwaves to celebrate National Mills Weekend.
The international event saw mills opening their doors to show off their hidden delights.
To coincide with this, Heage Windmill hosted Nunsfield House Amateur Radio Group who were taking part in ‘Mills On The Air’, which saw temporary radio stations set up at mills around the world.
Over two days they broadcasted to, and received messages from, other mill sites in the UK and mainland Europe.
Alan Gifford, trustee for the society, said: “It was a very successful weekend and we are very grateful for them letting this country, and much of Europe, know more about the wonderful mill at Heage.”
