Local health bosses will be on hand to talk about the latest developments in community healthcare from across Derbyshire and Leicestershire and to answer questions from the public on Thursday, September 22.
Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Trust are throwing open the doors to display examples of their innovations in patient care and to present their 2010/11 Annual Report – their first as a fully-fledged NHS Trust.
One of the hallmarks of the AGM evening – in the Ballroom at The Whitworth Centre, Darley Dale, Matlock – will be about engaging interest and providing opportunities for feedback and questions from the public about community healthcare.
Tracey Allen, Chief Executive of Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Trust, said: “We’d like to extend a warm welcome to anybody who wants to come along, find out more about what we do and share their ideas and ask us questions.
“The involvement of patients, families, relatives and other members of the public in what we do has never been more important to us, especially as we move towards becoming a Foundation Trust and building an active public membership.”
Anyone who would like to sign up as a member Derbyshire Community Health Services or to contribute to the consultation on becoming a Foundation Trust will also get the chance to do so on the night.
The doors open at 5.30pm with registration and refreshments and the opportunity to view exhibits showcasing some of the innovations which are benefiting patients. The AGM business and presentation of the Annual Report will start at 6pm followed by opportunities for questions and feedback, with the meeting due to finish at approximately 7pm.
