The stars of Megaslam Wrestling sent a packed crowd into a frenzy as they smacked down in Belper on Sunday.
It was the third time in three years the touring two-hour show had called at Belper Leisure Centre, on John O’Gaunts Way, and it drew a bigger audience than ever before.
Fans both young and old booed and cheered their way through the afternoon, as some of Britain’s best fighters battled it out.
On Facebook after the event, many were still high on adrenaline. Beckie Perkins said: “A great afternoon, the best I’ve been to so far and a big crowd.”
Stacey Hall said: “Absolutely loved it.”
The main event for this year’s show was a Rumble Rampage, with all the wrestlers in the ring at the same time in an every-man-for-themselves melee.
Amid the chaos, the only way to eliminate an opponent was by throwing them over the top rope, the winner being the last man standing.
Organiser Brad Taylor thanked the crowd and said Belper had become a favourite destination for the wrestlers. A return date is in the works for next year.
