the inquest into the death of the school worker who died after being involved in a collision with a car in Little Eaton has opened.
Vicky Wall, 58, was crossing the road on her way to work at Little Eaton Primary School when she was in collision with a Daewoo Lanos vehicle at about 5.40am on Tuesday, January 11. The crash happened just yards from the school gates.
She was taken to the Royal Derby Hospital but died at 9.15am the same day.
In last week’s News, tributes were paid to a “much-loved” woman by the headteacher of the school, Richard Bateman, friends and locals, who were all shocked by Mrs Wall’s death.
More than 30 floral tributes adorned the pavement outside the school as children, parents and work colleagues expressed their grief.
The inquest at Derby and South Derbyshire Coroner’s Court was adjourned to a later date.
