A SPATE of vandalism has hit Kilburn.
A meeting of the village’s parish council heard that a memorial seat on the nature reserve was vandalised and that the newly-erected equipment on the Church Street play area had also been targeted by vandals.
Police have now been asked to keep an eye on both areas.
Amber Valley Borough Council is repairing the play area equipment.
The police also reported to the latest meeting that recently there had been a spate of thefts from vehicles and sheds throughout the parish.
The meeting was told that some of the vehicles targeted had been left unlocked.
Also at the meeting, the parish council resolved to replace the parish noticeboard on Chapel Street and to buy a supply of ‘poop’ bags.
