Leap of faith in aid of Drop Inn

Brave fundraisers will be taking a leap of faith in aid of Belper’s Drop Inn Youth Centre this weekend.

A bungee crane is to be sited on the land opposite the Drop Inn in Derwent Street on Saturday, June 21 with around 75 thrill seekers signed-up to take the plunge.

There will also be a host of other attractions including two stages featuring 20 acts, DJs, live graffiti, dance performers, stalls, two bars, creative activities, short film reels, VJing, a raffle and much more

The fun packed day starts at 11am with the official opening by Pauline Latham MP – and runs up until 2am. Over 18’s only after 10pm

The bill boasts everything from UK rock bands to US street dancers, short film makers from around Derbyshire and live graffiti artists from all across the East Midlands, all showcasing their multimedia talents throughout the day.

Electronic dance act On Bomb are performing before they set off to perform at Glastonbury festival the following week and body popping acrobat Snap Boogie - who has performed on ‘America’s Got Talent’ will also be appearing.

Yeah Sherlock - spearheaded by popular local musician Jasper Malone are also due to take to the stage.

There will also be a selection of local traders and stalls to browse, face painting and fun crafts for the kids and Belper’s George & Dragon will be providing a mouth-watering array of ciders and real ales.
