LETTERS: Historical society closes after 21 years

I regret to advise that due to steadily falling membership and thus attendance at our talks we have decided to close down the Kyleburn Historical Society at the end of this year.

We have had a good run of 21 years but with hardly any new members for a long time (and no “youngsters” a story repeated in many fields of activity now days), I’m afraid, we had no alternative.

I would take this opportunity of thanking you for any support you have been able to give over the years.
