LETTERS: Not a single reason to stay in the EU

editorial image

In the next couple of years the referendum over our membership of the EU will be held.

If you are under 58 years of age nobody has ever asked you your opinion on our membership before.

Usually on matters concerning the EU ordinary folks don’t get a meaningful say - this time it’s different.

The thing is, I can give any number of reasons why we should vote to leave the EU. It is inefficient as it hasn’t balanced its books for 19 years, it’s undemocratic and costs this country £53 million each and every day. I could fill the page with further examples.

On the other hand - reasons to stay in the EU are not so easy to come by. In fact I can’t come up with one.

Maybe your readers can.
