The judges have had a difficult task selecting the finalists from among the many great entries in our Specsavers Life Thru the Lens readers’ photograph competition.
Hundreds of beautiful photographs were sent in during the three-month competition, but the judges had to choose just 13 to go on to the final.
Just one lucky entrant will go on to win the state-of-the-art digital camera and have the honour of being named the Belper Amateur Photographer of the Year 2013.
Second prize will also be a digital camera and third a pair of designer glasses from Specsavers, which is running the competition in conjunction with the Belper News.
Belper News Editor Julie Crouch, reporter Andrew Wakefield and Hannah Fildes from Belper Specsavers had a difficult time whittling down the entries this week.
The final 13 will now be mounted and put on show at a presentation evening at Specsavers’ King Street store in the next couple of weeks.
The finalists will now be invited to a ceremony and the winners will be announced on the night.
