TOTS at a playgroup in Nether Heage are set to benefit from extra equipment, thanks to a £150 donation by a Lions group. Nether Heage Playgroup is investing in more sensory stimulating items after they were handed the cash by Ripley Amber Valley Lions.
Member of the Lions group, Maurice Hodson, said: “We are pleased to support the playgroup and use some of the money raised during the Christmas collections during December 2011.”
The playgroup looks after children aged two through to when they start school and has been part of the local community for more than 30 years.
There are nearly 1.4 million members of the Lions organisation worldwide, which was founded in the United States in 1917.
Members generate cash to meet the needs of communities on a local and global scale.
