Artists and designers have showcased their work at an event which supports up and coming talent.
Four artists and designers from Belper took part in Banks Mill Open Studios, which invited the public and arts community to view a showcase of talent from Derbyshire and beyond.
The event was organised by the University of Derby and offered support and space to new and growing businesses.
Philippa Larkam, who creates bespoke sewing kits and offers sewing workshops, presented her ‘Little Tins of Loveliness’ at the event, while mixed-media artist Patricia Gray exhibited bronze sculptures.
Meanwhile fine artist Ruth Gray showcased compositions of forgotten towns.
Sculptor Hannah Larkan, who has developed her process of drawing with wire to create three-dimensional sculptures, also displayed work.
Open Studios has grown as an event over the last decade and now attracts hundreds of visitors each year. This year, more than 60 artists and designer-makers were displaying some of the city’s finest art and artistic products.
