An exhibition will showcase the depth of creative talent in the village of Shottle this weekend.
The Made in Shottle Event at St Lawrence Church has been organised to give everyone from painters to card makers the chance to show what they can do.
Mark Beresford, from Friends of Shottle Church, said: “The parish of Shottle and Postern, set high above the Derwent and Ecclesbourne valleys between Belper and Wirksworth, is one of the largest in Derbyshire, but has one of the smallest populations.
“It is a rural, agricultural area within the Chatsworth Estate, but within its boundaries are to be found an incredibly talented and creative group of artisans, craftsmen, artists and plantsmen.
“To highlight the breadth and scope of their work the ‘Made In Shottle’ exhibition and sale will be held at St. Lawrence Church, Shottle, on Sunday 9 10am to 5pm.
“Admission is free and refreshments will be available.
“Come along and chat with and see - and in some cases sample - the work of artisan food and drink producers, a bespoke cabinet maker and antique furniture restorer, an animal portrait artist, a garden and architectural metal worker, a bespoke greetings card maker and much more.”
