More details have been released surrounding the schedule of events for when the Aviva Tour of Britain arrives in Belper next month.
As part of the celebrations to mark the Tour passing through the town, there will be a market and a host of childrens’ entertainment on offer from 12pm until 4pm on the day of the tour; Friday, September 11.
A Belper Town Council spokesperson has also given a clear timeframe for when the riders are likely to pass through.
They said: “The cyclists will be coming through Belper at the earliest at 2.08pm and will have left no later than just after 3pm.
“There are likely to be restricted parking and rolling road closures in Belper during the race.”
Stage six of Britain’s premier road cycle race will start in Stoke and finish in Nottingham, with the toughest stage of the tour passing through large parts of Derbyshire.
The event will be televised live in its entirety on ITV4 from 1pm.
