MATLOCK BATH: 170 theme park jobs on offer
The family-run company hopes its recruitment drive will appeal to unemployed people from across the region, including staff, HMV workers from Chesterfield and Mansfield and employees from Midlands chain Jessop’s - all of which went into administration last month.
Last week, five workers from Jessop’s, which has its headquarters in Leicester, posted their photographs in the shop window advertising their services to potential employees after the high street camera retailer closed down all of its 187 UK stores.

“It’s a chance for long-term or newly unemployed people to get back into work and re-train in a welcoming environment - experience isn’t always necessary as we offer great training and development programmes, our main goal is to find people with the drive and enthusiasm to fit in with the Gulliver’s team.”
A number of the family-owned company’s management team started out as teenagers in ride operator roles.
Jobs available include ride operators, maintenance workers, catering staff, gardeners and cleaners. The recruitment day will be held on Saturday 9 March from 10am at the Matlock Bath theme park site. Anyone is welcome to turn up on the day and apply for a role.
