RESIDENTS will be able to have their say on policing in Belper when officers attend the town’s Farmers’ Market this Saturday, July 9.
Members of the police authority and the constabulary will be on Market Place between 8.30am and 2.30pm.
Locals will have the chance to take part in a questionnaire designed to tell the authority and the force how confident or satisfied people are with the service they receive, whether they are aware of their Safer Neighbourhood Team, whether they feel the service is providing value for money, and what is the most important task for the police in their area.
People will also be asked to prioritise different categories of crime according to what they perceive as the biggest problem in their area, how safe they feel and why they do or do not feel safe, and to answer questions about the impact of anti-social behaviour.
The results of the questionnaire will help shape future services and resources to ensure needs and concerns are met.
