Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Chamber of Commerce (DNCC) and Leicestershire Chamber of Commerce have entered into negotiations about a proposed merger to strengthen the Chamber movement in the East Midlands.

Over the last 18 months, both Chambers have been working more closely together and say by pooling their resources they can offer more services to members.

DNCC Chief Executive George Cowcher said: “Chambers of Commerce need to have the scale and resources to be able to offer a comprehensive range of services and to be the voice of business locally, regionally and nationally. It is for this reason that we have entered formal discussions with our sister Chamber.”
