THE North Mill museum in Belper is playing host to a display of stockings.
The display features fragile historical stockings such as tiny christening socks, elegant ladies’ stockings, World War Two utility stockings, and Queen Victoria’s made-in-Belper stockings.
Belper was nationally and internationally acclaimed for it’s manufacture of stockings. They are still manufactured in the town today.
The stockings will be on show at weekends between 1pm and 5pm, into the new year.
