some murderous plotting will take place when the Allestree Theatre Group mount the stage at the end of the month.
It’s latest production, Anagram of Murder by Seymour Matthews, concerns a woman’s plot to murder her writer husband which coincidentally resembles the story of his latest novel. The murderess presses on with her dastardly scheme, but when a body is found the next day no-one knows for sure whose it is.
Ian Eade, from the group says the play is packed with “twists which will keep you guessing. . . and the final denouement contains several surprises before the guilty are brought to justice.”
The curtain goes up at St Nicholas’ Church Hall, Allestree Lane, at 7.30pm on October 27, 28 and 29. Tickets can be booked by calling 01332 559700 and cost £6.
