Mystery relative inspires venture

A great-grandfather who ‘seemingly never died’ inspired a Milford woman to launch her own family history research business.

Fiona Boardman was prompted to learn more about her own huge family tree after chancing across the mysterious relative.

And, after spending more than 30 years working for various Government departments she decided the hobby would give her chance to launch a new career.

She said: “ This represents an exciting new start for me. It could be that you’ve got some information and want to conduct your own research, but don’t know where to start. I can advise you on use of the main information sources and provide a mentoring and support service for when you get stuck.
