A new inspector has taken over the lead on policing in the Amber Valley area.

Graham Lamin returns to the area with 25 years experience as a police officer, having been an inspector in Belper for 18 months until July 2008 and worked on response and neighbourhood teams

He was one of the Derbyshire officers invited to a special reception with Prime Minister David Cameron to recognise the role he played in leading a team who travelled to London to help during disorder in August 2011.

Inspector Lamin said: “I hope to further improve confidence in local policing, and to work with the community to address the concerns of local residents.”
