The ninth Discovery Days Festival - featuring more than 170 events across the Derwent Valley - gets underway this weekend.
Details of the goings on are are on pages nine, 16 and 27 of this week’s issue, with a plethora of activities planned for this weekend.
Among the heritage-related activities in Belper on Saturday are everything from art exhibitions to theatre performances and dance demonstrations.
The Sunday focuses on Belper with a showcase of activities at the Strutt’s Centre on Derby Road, fun things to try for families at Strutt’s North Mill and historic properties opening so people can explore the town like never before.
On October 31 – Hallowe’en – there’s a chance to see 1623 Theatre Company perform “Zombie Shakespeare” in Belper’s River Gardens.
