A CHOIR that has members from Belper has helped raise more than £13,000 for charity.
The Rock Choir (see page 11) has raised the funds in aid of Missing People, a charity that tries to help the 250,000 people who run away or go missing each year and also provides support to their families and friends.
The choir started supporting the charity in May, 2010, and has held numerous fundraising events.
Martin Houghton-Brown, chief executive of the charity, said: “Rock Choir brings communities together by giving them the common language of music, creating harmony and building relationships. That is why they are such perfect partners, as the charity’s team works day and night to create harmony in families, bringing people together.” Visit www.missingpeople.org.uk.
