AN OLYMPIC hopeful paid a visit to Horsley Primary School this week.
Belper swimmer Ross Davenport presented pupils with a plaque and certificate to acknowledge their involvement in the London 2012 games education program.
The youngsters have taken part in activities that promote Olympic and Paralympic ‘values’ including drafting new school rules and taking part in competitions. They were also involved in a mini-Olympics event against other schools in the area.
Ross said: “Pupils at Horsley Primary School are excellent examples of how London 2012 is helping to spark young people’s imagination.”
