Pair face proceeds of crime charge

A Belper man charged under the proceeds of crime act has appeared in court.

David Potter, 46, of Cook Close, Belper, and Peter Cannadine, 47, of Woodsetts, are charged with concealing, disguising, converting, transferring or removing criminal property. The charge relates to an articulated trailer at A1 Metal Recycling, in Elkesley, which was allegedly cut up and sold between September 6 and September 10, 2011. They also face a similar charge involving magnesium between May 1 and October 31, 2011.Worksop JPs sent the case to be heard in Nottingham Crown Court on August 15.
