TWO youngsters were chosen to appear in a television soap drama.

Chloe Lewis, 10, from Shop Lane, in Nether Heage, was picked to play the part of fluffy toy-loving Kiera, a surgery patient’s daughter, in BBC drama Doctors, at a November audition. And last week her episode has just appeared on television. Fellow student Geoffery Mullen, 18, from Arkwright Avenue, Belper, also landed a part on the same soap only last month. He filmed the episode in February and will appear on TV in spring.

Chloe said: “I had my own trailer with my name on the door and stayed in a hotel the night before filming.”

The academy is based in Cromford Road, Ripley.

They are members of Ripley Academy of Dance and Drama.
